The Congress on Monday held marathon discussions and a meeting of the party's highest decision-making body, the Congress Working Committee, but remained indecisive on whether to support a Shiv Sena-led government in Maharashtra.
A delegation of Shiv Sena leaders on Monday met Maharashtra governor B S Koshyari and expressed the party's willingness to form the government, but could not submit the "requisite letter of support", the Raj Bhavan said. The Sena sought a three-day extension but the governor declined to accept the request. Sena said their claim on govt formation still stands.
