Seshasayee (MaineHealth) describe India’s communication response to the pandemic, briefly highlighting what has been done so far and cautiously exploring where the country may be headed, particularly in light of the recent vaccine rollout.

Sumitra Badrinathan (CASI 2020-21 Sobti Family Fellow), Devesh Kapur (former CASI Director; SAIS, Johns Hopkins University), and Milan Vaishnav (Carnegie Endowment for International Peace) released "How Do Indian Americans View India? Results From the 2020 Indian American Attitudes Survey" a February 2021 joint study by Carnegie Endownment for International Peace, SAIS Johns Hopkins, and the University of Pennsylvania. CASI Welcomes Applications for Postdoctoral Fellowship
CASI invites applications to fill a postdoctoral fellowship position for the 2021-2022 academic year. The position is open to applicants from the humanities and social sciences whose work focuses on contemporary India. We welcome candidates from a wide range of disciplinary traditions and methodological orientations. Applications will be reviewed starting Monday, March 1, 2021.

With support from Penn parents, Rajiv Sobti GR’84 and Slomi Sobti, the Sobti Family Fellowship will provide two doctoral students with $12,500 each to develop independent research projects broadly related to India’s politics, economy, and international relations.
