Amita Baviskar is a CASI Non-Resident Scholar. She is a sociologist and Professor of Environmental Studies and Sociology & Anthropology at Ashoka University, India. Previously, she was Professor at the Sociology Unit, Institute of Economic Growth, Delhi, India. She received the 2005 Malcolm Adiseshiah Award for Distinguished Contributions to Development Studies, the 2008 VKRV Rao Prize for Social Science Research and, in 2010, was awarded the Infosys Prize for Social Sciences – Sociology in recognition of her analysis of social and environmental movements in modern India.

Norah Rami, C'26 is pursuing a double major in English and Political Science with a minor in South Asian Studies. She is the Editor-in-Chief of 34th Street Magazine, Penn's arts and culture magazine. Her writing can be found in The New York Times, Teen Vogue, The Philadelphia Citizen, and Scroll.in. As the 2024 Pulitzer Center for Crisis Reporting South Asia Fellow, she traveled to Kolkata, West Bengal to report on India's changing literary market.

Gabriella Jean, C'27 is an Economics major at Penn with minors in Statistics and Consumer Psychology. She combines expertise in market research and nonprofit leadership and is passionate about social impact, problem-solving, theater arts, and personal development.
