CASI in the News

Suman Guha Mozumder published "Francis Fukuyama on India, US, China, and 'Vetocracy'" in the October 31, 2014 issue of India Abroad. The article was in response to CASI's Annual Khemka Distinguished Lecture in New York on October 9, 2014, in which Dr. Fukuyama spoke about "The Origins of Indian Political Institutions: The Long View."

CASI Director Devesh Kapur, along with CASI Research Assistant and Penn Law Doctoral Candidate, Ananth Padmanabhan, published "Dealing With Regional Bigotry" in the October 24, 2014 issue of Business Standard.

CASI Student Programs

CASI Interns and Travel Funds for Research Winners will start holding information sessions or “Chai Chats” from November - January in preparation for the 2015 application cycle for Penn students. Stay tuned for details.

We are delighted to announce that CASI's 2015 post-baccalaureate fellowship, The Sobti Family Fellowship Fund, is open and accepting applications! The Sobti Family Fellowship Fund supports a recent graduate from the University of Pennsylvania to conduct an independent research project in India. The Sobti Family Fellow is required to spend at least nine months in India starting as early as June 2015 but no later than September 2015. Application Deadline: January 23, 2015.
