CASI in the News
CASI Director, Devesh Kapur and CASI Research Coordinator, Megan Reed co-authored "The Love for Sons and Appropriate Attire" in the January 26, 2015 issue of The Hindu. This is the third of four articles that are being published by The Hindu in December and January on the findings from the latest round of the Lok Survey, on aspirations and anxieties of ordinary Indians. The Lok Survey is part of a larger CASI research project on urbanization and social change sponsored by the Lok Foundation. The Lok Surveys aim to track the attitudes of Indians over the next several years, as part of a significant new effort to understand the social and political reconfigurations taking place across India today.
