Advait Rajagopal Aiyer

CASI is pleased to announce Advait Rajagopal Aiyar as a Sobti Doctoral Fellow at the Center for the Advanced Study of India (CASI) for the 2024-25 academic year.
Advait is a rising fifth-year Ph.D. student in Applied Economics at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. His research is situated at the intersection between development economics, education policy, and market design in developing countries, with a focus on India’s higher education system. In particular, he aims to examine the impact of tuition price regulation on student demand and college quality using high quality, large administrative datasets.
Before he joined Penn, Advait worked as a Research Associate at the Behavioral Development Lab, J-PAL South Asia. He has an MS in Economics from the New School for Social Research and a BSc. in Economics, Mathematics, and Statistics from St. Joseph's College, Bangalore University.
