In the latest issue of India in Transition, authors Pranay Kotasthane (Takshashila Institution) & Abhiram Manchi (Boston University) argue that policy lessons from India's space program successes cannot be ported to the semiconductor program because of fundamental differences in these two technological domains.

Call for Abstracts for "Cultures of Datafication" Workshop
"Cultures of Datafication In & Across South Asia," an April 12-13, 2024 workshop at Penn organized by CASI 2022-23 Sobti Family Fellow Kim Fernandes, Rahul Mukherjee, Zehra Hashmi, Sandeep Mertia, and Ranjit Singh, seeks to bring together interdisciplinary researchers and practitioners thinking about historical and emergent trajectories of data-driven knowledge production in South Asia.
The deadline for submission of abstracts is Wednesday, January 31, 2024.
