"The Importance of Being Middle Class in India," a new paper co-authored by CASI Director Devesh Kapur, along with Neelanjan Sircar (CASI Non-Resident Visiting Scholar and Senior Fellow, Centre for Policy Research, New Delhi) and Milan Vaishnav (Senior Fellow, South Asia Program, Carnegie Endowment for International Peace) was referenced in "Is India's Middle Class Actually Poor?" by Soutik Biswas in the November 15, 2017 issue of BBC News.
