CASI in the News

Ambassador Jayant Prasad (Former Ambassador of India to Nepal, 2011-13, and CASI Non-Resident Visiting Scholar) published "Taking Ties Beyond the Beltway" in the October 6, 2014 issue of The Hindu.

Devesh Kapur (CASI Director) and Milan Vaishnav (Associate, South Asia Program, Carnegie Endowment for International Peace) were quoted in a September 28, 2014 TIME Magazine article by Nikhil Kumar titled "India's Modi Comes Full Circle at Madison Square Garden."

Rishikesha Krishnan (Director, IIM Indore and CASI Fall 2008 Visiting Scholar) published "Defying the Odds: Invigorating Accounts of Dalit Entrepreneurship" in the September 22, 2014 issue of Inside IIM. Defying the Odds: The Rise of Dalit Entrepreneurs (Random House India, 2014) was co-authored by Professor Kapur, along with D. Shyam Babu and Chandra Bhan Prasad (CASI research affiliates and former CASI Visiting Scholars).

In this issue of India in Transition, Stefan Bender, Jörg Heining, and Kaushik Krishnan (Head, Research Data Center, German Federal Employment Agency, Institute for Employment Research; Senior Researcher, Research Data Center, German Federal Employment Agency, Institute for Employment Research; and Doctoral Candidate in Economics, UC Berkeley, respectively) argue for the creation of an employer-employee linked dataset to study the Indian labor market.
