European Parliament to hold debate on CAA

The European Parliament is set to debate and vote on a resolution tabled by some of its members against India's Citizenship Amendment Act. "The CAA marks a dangerous shift in the way citizenship will be determined in India and is set to create the largest statelessness crisis in the world and cause immense human suffering," the resolution says.

Ulfa (I) claims responsibility for Assam blasts

The proscribed Myanmar-based anti-talk Ulfa (I) faction led by Paresh Baruah has claimed responsibility for the four blasts in upper Assam districts on Sunday morning as the country celebrated the 71st Republic Day. No one was hurt and there was no damage to any property. Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal condemned the act and has ordered an enquiry.

4 explosions rock Assam, no casualty reported
