In the latest issue of India in Transition, journalist Fatima Khan examines how violence against Muslims played out in two different parts of India in varying immediate contexts—the common thread being the gnawing sense of having your rights as a citizen attacked on all fronts.

CASI Welcomes New UPIASI Fellow
Ranjini Basu is the new Garware Post-Doctoral Fellow at UPIASI and a CASI Non-Resident Visiting Scholar. Her research interests include agrarian studies, peasant movements, rural transformations, and food governance. As part of the fellowship, she will be studying contemporary agrarian politics and ecological concerns in rural North India.
