On July 19, 2014, Random House India launched the book, Defying the Odds: The Rise of Dalit Entrepreneurs by authors Devesh Kapur, CASI Director, and D. Shyam Babu and Chandra Bhan Prasad, who are both CASI research affiliates and former CASI Visiting Scholars.

Pivot to Africa: India's Evolving Sub-Saharan Africa Engagement

In this issue of India in Transition, Arndt Michael, Senior Lecturer, Department of Political Science, University of Freiburg, Germany and author of India’s Foreign Policy and Regional Multilateralism, discusses India's successful pivot to Sub-Saharan Africa and argues that there is a uniquely "Indian way" of dealing with the region.
