CASI Fall 2024 Visiting Scholar Hilal Ahmed (Associate Professor, CSDS) had his most recently book, A Brief History of the Present: Muslims in New India (Penguin-Random House, 2024) featured in "Hilal Ahmed Challenges the Narrative on Why Muslims Have Been Marginalised in India," in the September 15, 2024 issue of The Indian Express. He also published "Mahatma's Three Faces" in the October 1, 2024 issue of The Times of India and "For a New India" in the September 11, 2024 issue of The Telegraph.

CASI Non-Resident Visiting Scholar & Postdoc (2022-24) Sarath Pillai (Southern Methodist University) published "A Personal Archive of the AIDS Pandemic" in the September 24, 2024 issue of History Workshop.

On September 26, 2024, Dr. Gagandeep Kang (Director, Enteric & Diarrheal Diseases, Diagnostics, and Genomics, Epidemiology, & Modeling, Global Health, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation) delivered the CASI Nand & Jeet Khemka Distinguished Lecture, "Building Global Health Research from India for the World," along with PSOM Discussants Drs. Glen N. Gaulton, Sara Cherry, and Surbhi Grover. The event was held in partnership with the Center for Global Health. [Full Video]
