What Telangana Means for Indian Federalism

In this issue of India in Transition, Arun Sagar, Associate Fellow, Centre for Multilevel Federalism, New Delhi, argues that the creation of new states in India has a centralizing effect on Indian federalism as the influence of sub-state political movements weakens political power at the state level.
