In this issue of India in Transition, Sanjoy Chakravorty (Professor, Department of Geography and Urban Studies, Temple University), S. Chandrasekhar (Professor, Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research, Mumbai), and Karthikeya Naraparaju (Assistant Professor, Indian Institute of Management, Indore) argue that structural conditions in Indian agriculture, especially the continuing fragmentation of land, pose a serious, perhaps insurmountable challenge to achieving inclusive growth.
