On November 29-30, 2012, CASI, in collaboration with the University of Pennsylvania Institute for the Advanced Study of India (UPIASI), hosted a 20th anniversary celebration for CASI's past Visiting Scholars and Fellows based in India. The welcome address given by Jairam Ramesh, Minister of Rural Development, and day-long symposium, featuring recent research by past scholars, took place at India Habitat Centre in Delhi. Delhi-based Penn alumni and parents also attended.
