About the Speaker:
Gautam Nair is a Visiting Dissertation Fellow at CASI. He is currently completing his Ph.D. in political science at Yale University. His research is in comparative and international political economy, with a focus on the political economy of inequality, redistribution, and democracy. He has published in The Journal of Politics and International Organization, among other journals. While at CASI, Gautam is working on two related streams of research. The first studies the role of business in shaping distributive politics in developing democracies. The second examines the causes and consequences of the growth of the right in India.
