CASI Research Grants for Penn Faculty
CASI IS NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR 2013 -- THANKS TO ALL WHO APPLIED!
CASI invites applications from Penn standing faculty for research grants. We are interested in supporting scholarly research projects that are related to all areas of the study of contemporary India. The purpose of the research grant is to support Penn faculty who want to conduct research in India or related India research. CASI also welcomes applications from Penn faculty who wish to conduct comparative research on India but have no previous research experience in India.
Faculty grants will generally not exceed $5,000. The grant may be used to support travel and field research in India, to hire research assistants, or to defray other essential research expenses detailed in the application. Grant recipients will be invited to present their research findings to a CASI seminar.
We invite all faculty at Penn whose research interests complement CASI’s mission to submit applications.
- A narrative proposal not to exceed three pages.
- A budget explaining the expenses the grant is to cover and a statement of all current and pending support for the research project.
- A curriculum vitae.
