CASI in the News

CASI Director, Devesh Kapur co-authored with Elizabeth J. Perry (Henry Rosovsky Professor of Government; Director, Harvard-Yenching Institute, Harvard University), "Higher Education Reform in India and China: The Role of the State" as part of the January 2015 Harvard-Yenching Institute Working Paper Series.

Neelanjan Sircar (CASI Postdoctoral Research Fellow) and Megan Reed (CASI Research Coordinator) co-authored "Choosing Thy Neighbour" in the January 10, 2015 issue of The Hindu. This is the second of four articles that will be published by The Hindu in December and January on the findings from the latest round of the Lok Survey, on aspirations and anxieties of ordinary Indians. The Lok Survey is part of a larger CASI research project on urbanization and social change sponsored by the Lok Foundation. The Lok Surveys aim to track the attitudes of Indians over the next several years, as part of a significant new effort to understand the social and political reconfigurations taking place across India today.
